I chose Winthrop because…
I chose Winthrop because it felt like somewhere I could be myself and find people with similar interests. They also have great programs for my specific major(s), and I appreciate the smaller class sizes that give me an opportunity to connect with both my classmates and my professors.
My favorite spots in Rock Hill are…
I love going downtown and trying new food spots (Ay Papi, Kounter, Elk Ave Tavern, etc), as well as visiting the lake at Ebenezer Park or Rock Hill Beach.
My favorite Winthrop tradition...
My favorite tradition is convocation and the blue line activities, which I think are a great way to welcome incoming students to Winthrop while also preserving some of the campus’s rich history.
My most memorable Winthrop experience…
My most memorable Winthrop experience(s) were definitely orientation and welcome week. Orientation introduced me to several other students who later became close friends of mine. Welcome week was a great way to introduce us as incoming students; there were several different activities happening around campus which not only were fun, but also introduced me to the campus and peers.
