I chose Winthrop because…
It was close enough to my home town, Columbia, SC, to not feel homesick. I wanted to attend a University that’s away from home but not too far. Winthrop is not a large campus and I love that. Knowing that the campus is not too large, I knew that my class sizes would be smaller than most Universities. I prefer smaller classes because it’s easier for me to focus and engage with the professors. I also loved the diversity of students that I saw on the campus. Winthrop made me feel right at home from the moment I stepped foot on the campus.
My most memorable Winthrop experience…
Going to Cram Jam for the first time as I had lots of fun. I loved the late-night breakfast theme, the music and line dances.
