My most memorable Winthrop experience…
My most memorable Winthrop experience has been standing on the Orientation stage as Student Body Vice President welcoming the Class of 2030. In that moment, everything I had worked toward just kind of came full circle, and I realized how much I had grown as both a leader and a person. Being able to encourage incoming students to step outside their comfort zones, get involved, and take advantage of every opportunity was something I'll never forget. It was one of those moments where I truly felt proud of how far I'd come and the impact I was able to make.
My favorite spots in Rock Hill are…
My favorite spots in Rock Hill are definitely American Deli, Ninety-Nine Desserts Bar, and The bowling alley. American Deli is one of my favorite places to eat because the food never disappoints. Ninety-Nine Desserts Bar is another favorite since it's conveniently located across from campus, and Winthrop students get a discount. If I'm looking to unwind or spend time with friends, the bowling alley is always a great place to go.
I chose Winthrop because…
I chose Winthrop because I wanted more than a degree; I wanted an environment that would challenge me to grow into the leader I knew I could become. Coming from a small town where opportunities were limited, Winthrop represented the chance to rewrite my story through leadership, meaningful relationships, and experiences I never imagined having.
My favorite Winthrop tradition...
My favorite Winthrop tradition is definitely Homecoming Tailgate. It's one of the few times each year where undergraduates, graduate students, alumni, faculty, and staff all come together to celebrate and show their Winthrop pride. I love the energy, seeing different organizations connect, and catching up with people from all across the Winthrop community. It's always a reminder of how special the Eagle family is.
