I chose Winthrop because…
I honestly didn't choose Winthrop...It chose me! My mother graduated from Winthrop as well as several other people in my family; including my older sister. I wasn't planning to attend Winthrop because I didn't want to go to the same school as my sister. However, I ended up falling in love with Winthrop. It's diversity, campus life, the student involvement and so much more has shaped me into the person I am today. I thrive at Winthrop because it has taught me how to navigate the real world. I am so blessed to be a Winthrop Eagle.

My favorite spot is the Chipotle thats close to campus.
My most memorable Winthrop experience…
My most memorable Winthrop experience is auditioning for a part in Winthrop's production of The Escape..Or a Leap to Freedom. I learned so much about myself, my ancestors, but I have also met lifelong friends that I absolutely adore.
My favorite Winthrop tradition...
My favorite tradition at Winthrop is definitely homecoming. I was honored to give tours to Winthrop alum from the class of 73 and 68. The stories they shared were remarkable and opened my eyes to how much Winthrop has changed.
